While developing my idea and concept for Heartbreak, I realized my process would be driven from many stories compiled together. I will start by looking at my past and through iteration, structure will arise, and what will be, will be.
Here are four story splines helping me work through my idea.
J.J.
Once upon a time…
there was a new gem, never seen before wash up along the coast side. And everyday…
the tide would pull the gem in and out day in and day out. Until one day…
a wondering journeyman was walking along and saw a glimmer from the gem in the sand. And because of that…
he hurried to see if his eyes were playing tricks on him. And because of that…
he discovered the gem was an opal. And he needed to take great care and love in order to keep it alive. And because of that…
once getting the opal home, the journeyman’s miss treatment of the stone not only dual the color but made the opal crack and dry out. So that finally…
no longer seeing the opal for its original beauty he took it out to the woods and let it live out its years in decay. And the moral of the story is…
the most precious things need to be handled with care.

Once upon a time…
a girl met a boy with rose colored glasses. And everyday…
he would whisper the dreams he saw of them together. Until one day…
the girl took his rose colored glasses off and saw reality. And because of that…
the boy tried to keep the dream alive And because of that…
the girl pushed back harder in disagreement only wanting to exist in reality. And because of that…
the boy could no longer wear the glasses he met her with. So that finally…
the boy realized he could never love her, letting her walk the path of reality. And the moral of the story is…
live in truth in order to achieve your dreams.

Once upon a time…
a goddess fell in love with hades And everyday…
although their love was forbidden they would spend hours on end together. Until one day…
another maiden caught his eye, creating a three headed beast he couldn’t control. And because of that…
the goddess vowed to stop loving the man she found behind the darkness. And because of that…
this drove Hades mad looking for answers, to questions he never asked. And because of that…
the goddess learned the battles of loving someone who was forbidden fruit. So that finally…
the light that the goddess had given Hades, blew out never to be relit again. And the moral of the story is…
you can love anyone but to love someone so deeply, their faults are nonexistent breeds pure love, but everything comes with a price.

Once upon a time…
a boy found a girl he knew long ago. And everyday…
they would talk from the sun to the moon. Seeing each other to keep company. Until one day…
the boy didn’t answer the girls call. And because of that…
the girl became worried something had happened to the boy And because of that…
she searched for him. And because of that…
she crossed forest, mountains, and water with no success just more questions on top of her unanswered questions. So that finally…
the girl stopped searching because she had searched the world. And the moral of the story is…
you can search worldwide never getting the answers you seek.
