Here we are in the future...

This post maybe late but as of December 6, 2019, I know what and who you are my heartbreak. You are a real time event, a conversation, happening in front of everyone. Each interaction is different, but each interaction always results in a flatline.

This interactive installation will consist of three hexagon shaped canvas acting as screens. Content will be projected onto them, by the use of TouchDesigner and a projector over head. A chord or LED light cable will be twisted around the canvas connecting them together, creating a cycle that is constantly moving.

There are two plans in place for this project given, I do not have an engineer yet.

Plan A:

The music and animations act as two separate entities on standby

IF : LED light cable the music will manipulate light patten.

The music is 5 minutes in length, which will play on a loop. Going through a cycle touching on moods of calmness, suffering, eerie, and back to calm.

The animations are randomly called up using TouchDesigner. The content projected will be made in both After Effects and TouchDesigner, 10 pieces begin done in TouchDesigner, and 16 done in After Effects.

IF: There is a hand sensor and podium, their input changes the color path along the lights, calling yellow tones to appear. The longer the hand is on the sensor, the more darker imagery is shown and the music becomes distorted.

ELSE: When the connection is broken all the screens change to an ERROR message, the music will shut off and a shut down process occurs. There is a 5 second standby and then the installation restarts.

Plan B:

All above elements to music and animations stay the same.

IF: There is no podium and hand sensor, imagery is randomly called up but will change as music changes in tone.

Darker more eerie tones will showcase darker imagery.
